Kelso Sturgeon's office has been in contact with me about purchasing his football picks for the upcoming season. I'd appreciate any information you can offer on Mr. Sturgeon and the quality of his picks. Many thanks.

avoid kelso sturegon like the plague.

he is "scum de la scum" and to be avoided at all costs. do a search on his name - and stand back - for you will not like what you see.

the next time they call TELL them you want to be put on their "do not call" list and remind them what the penalties are for not following it. they will try to either say you called them - and they are returning a call (DO NOT fall for this - stand strong and tell them to leave you alone) or maybe hang up before you can say this.

i also have more bad news for you. kelso will sell your number to a ton of people - odds are that is how he got your number. NEVER call a service from a home phone - or give it to them. this gives them your number and this is exactly what happens. sorry to tell you odds are you will get a TON more calls in the future from services 10,000 times worse than kelso!

Great advice, Dudes.

Never pay anyone anything for picks. You can get the same (and better) information from more sources right here at the RX, and it won't cost you a cent. I have never known one single person whose service did any good over time. In fact, I would guess that very few customers return to the same service for even a second season because they are so displeased with the results.

Don't let them fool you with touts of "guaranteed winners" or crap like that. What they don't tell you is that "guaranteed winners" means over 50%, and they'll always throw in catches like "you have to play ALL of our plays for the exact units we tell you every day or there is no guarantee.

Save your $$$ and read the RX. If you need any more convincing, my friend's service picked Notre Dame over USC in 2003 as their "upset game of the year" for 30 units. Need I say more?

My advice would be like that of El Iguana's....

You can get better information on the forums for free.

Consider the fact that it is awful difficult to finish in sports gambling in the high 50 percent range, which would be enough to cover the break even barrier....giving someone money to pick for you will eat up the remaining percentage profit between break even and the high 50% mark, should you be fortunate enough to finish that highly.

If thier picks are so good then what are they calling you for....obviously they would be making enough money to pay all thier "insiders" and still have gobs of money left over to pad thier own pillow with. People who know where the gold is buried don't tell you where it's buried, they go out there themselves and dig it up and keep it for themselves.

I watch some of the shows these guys put out, sometimes they give a key bit of advice that makes sense that might sway me towards a certain side....one needs to do some homework and come to thier own conclusions using all the methods at thier disposal....the internet is full of advice and resources, and is a very good start.

All these guys did was replace the item being sold...it went from a vacuum to a pick on a sporting event.

Kelso's book about football capping sucks. He co-wrote it with Jim Feist.
(should tell you something right there)

Kelso is a scammer for sure. Regardless of what anyone says, there are a few decent services that are not even that expensive. But a service is never the way to go unless they have a great money management system and you can follow it to the max.

I bought that book and really disliked it. I could not find anything useful int the whole publication. The thing that really confused me was the amount of "good press" that recommended a purchase. Scam on all levels!

For a while I thought I missed some deeper levels in the above mentioned item and I am relieved to learn that I saw through the garbage.

Also, one of the magazines you'll be receiving in the mail talks/warns the reader about "scamdicappers" and is in reality put out by a scamdicapper himself.... he calls himself, Gordon Michaels of Blazer Sports.

Your statement would seem to be validated by BOTH the late Mort Olshen of "The Gold Sheet" and the late Huey Mahl(First Twenty)...

Mort Olshen maintained that out of 100 football games played that 50% of the outcomes would be determined due to factors outside the realm of handicapping(squibbed punts, etc)....the player at that point would have 25 wins ALONG WITH 25 losses......Olshen then stated that to hit 57% overall...one would have to be 67% proficient over the remaining 50 games....

Again, I'd tend to agree...Huey Mahl pointed out that if the scamdicappers were truly 70% proficient in picking winners then their optimal percentage-of-bankroll bet against a -110 line would be around 37% of bankroll....

I forget the other math formula he used...but he went on to point out that if the 70% scamdicapper could find someone to take the booking action that after something under 1500 bet games the scamdicapper would have enough to provide each man, woman, and child on earth with over 1 million dollars...

The bottom line according to Mahl is that claims of 70% overall efficiency told by the scamdicappers are outright lies..

Aren't these guys all scams? I remember using one 10 years ago. Then I got calls from these guys for the next 5 years. I would love to hear some legitimate stories from anyone about handicappers from Jim Feist.

about 3-4 years ago, i got into betting sports online pretty heavily and started using the "sports experts" like kelso, cowtown, northcoast and the gold sheet just to get additional info. before i knew it, i was losing more with these guys than i would have done just betting on my own. it really got pretty bad; my wife started checking things out and i was probably spending easily about $500 on pix alone. it eventually led to a divorce which i never expected, but i learned these guys don't know any more than we do and all they really do is build up our expectations and take our money (not to mention the ruination of relationships).

STAY AWAY FROM ALL OF THEM!@!@!
